We exist as an organisation because of our members, so it is great to know that members appreciate the work we do to support Tourism businesses in the Brecon Beacons. Here are some of the latest comments from our members:
Since joining BBT in 2014 our sports, leisure and tourism business has seen many changes and some seriously contrasting seasons. The support, information and updates from BBT on the other hand have been consistent and dependable. In 2020 we haven’t needed to be concerned about interpreting and unpicking all the government guidance, restrictions and information because BBT have promptly and efficiently done all that work for us. The introduction of their closed Members Facebook Group has also meant organic member-generated support alongside a direct line to Laura and Julia as well as Welsh Government. I just cannot stress how important BBT membership is to our small, family business – they are worth their weight in gold!

Although I rarely make it to meetings, being a member of BBT is invaluable to our business. It allows us to network with other tourism and hospitality providers and to keep abreast of what’s going on locally. In 2020 we have found BBT to be constant, clear and timely in terms of helping us to interpret the many guidelines issued by Welsh Government during the COVID Pandemic. I can honestly say BBT has been the very best source of advice and support to us this year, and we are grateful to be part of their organisation.

When we moved to the Brecon Beacons five and a half years ago to start our holiday accommodation business BBT’s help was not only very helpful but it was always so friendly. Through the regular networking events we quickly made contacts with other BBT members becoming part of a supportive community. In addition, the workshops we’ve attended focusing on social media have helped to improve our marketing skills.
Throughout 2020 BBT has provided support and timely clarification on both Welsh Government COVID-19 related regulations and the grants available which, along with their lobbying on behalf of local tourism businesses, has been invaluable.

We are so thankful for being part of Brecon Beacons Tourism, for all the support and advice received. This year has been a difficult year for most trades but especially for our Campsite which only opened 2019, so with our 2nd year being in the middle of the pandemic it really put alot of pressure on us. Laura has been so helpful with all her advice, making the months we were able to operate, successful. Laura has always been contactable and reliable! I would highly recommend anyone new to tourism to be part of Brecon Beacons Tourism for their valued support!

For Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages we found, certainly in the early days of the Pandemic, the on-going support from Laura and Julia very helpful, supportive and factually informative.
